Title:Senior Manager of Public Relations, Western Region
Job Description:Douglas Elliman, the preeminent luxury real estate brokerage in the nation, is searching for a highly enthusiastic, creative and strategic head of public relations for its Western region covering California and Nevada.The position will be responsible for leading and executing all public relations for Elliman's Western Region including but not limited to corporate and agent initiatives and exclusive listings.The ideal candidate will be an excellent writer and storyteller who is immersed in today's ever-changing culture and can bring Elliman's brand values and attributes to life in a way that engages new audiences, while nurturing our existing audiences. A passion for real estate is a plus.This position will report into the Chief Communications Officer, with a dotted line to its Associate VP of Public Relations and the Western Region CEOWe are looking for someone with a can-do attitude who is willing to roll up their sleeves and get the job done. We are a highly collaborative team and organization and expect this role to be too.
What You'll Do:Devise strategic media plans utilizing extensive network of writers, producers and other media professionals in order to secure optimal coverage in both print and electronic media.Advise on effective means of communication should events perceived by media and or public as negative require comment or counter-campaign strategy.Conduct pre-interviews to discuss anticipated questions, appropriate answers to those questions and familiarize client with reporter.Develop, write and distribute press releases in conjunction with corporate initiatives.Strategically pitch stories to network of high caliber writers, editors, producers and social media influencers for optimal exposure.Imagine, procure and execute media worthy and creative partnerships designed to elevate client brands.Who You Are:4-7 years of experience in a public relationsBased in Los Angeles with some travel required around the stateSomeone who sees PR as a 360 degree experience who knows how to bring properties for sale to life via press, social media, experiential activations and partnerships.An exceptional multimedia storyteller, with a keen understanding of the nuance and details that bring story and strategy to life in resonant waysDemonstrated ability in developing and executing best-in-class PR campaignsDeep television contacts a plusThorough knowledge of local, national and international press landscapeA deep passion for luxury brands and real estate: loves keeping abreast of the latest industry news and trendsYou're a team player armed with a positive attitude who takes pride in being able to work well with others
