We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Director of Gas Marketing to drive comprehensive marketing strategies to achieve the organization’s objectives for organic sales growth, new customer acquisition, and customer retention. This role requires a deep understanding of marketing, strategic thinking, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of success. The Director of Gas Metrology will be responsible for developing long-term strategies, ensuring sustainable and competitive market positioning of our gas portfolio, and overseeing the Marketing department to ensure that it maintains consistent messaging, a current pulse on the utility market, and constant focus on target customer needs.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Marketing Department Management

: Build and manage an effective team of marketers and enable their success in a range of marketing functions and skills including vertical marketing, sales enablement, marketing communication, channel management, and business development.

Marketing Plan Development

: Own the development and evolution of the Gas Division marketing plan with clear strategies and tactics to drive the business forward with measurable outcomes.

Customer Understanding

: Create marketing campaigns that demonstrate a deep understanding of the customer and effectively communicate the value propositions associated with Xylem’s Gas Solution throughout the entire customer journey.

Marketing Execution

: Enable the marketing department to execute all marketing tactics to support the strategic marketing plan, using an integrated marketing approach.

New Customer & Organic Growth:

Plan and design creative and effective multi-channel communication campaigns that address all levels of the sales funnel to accelerate current customer engagement and develop high-quality leads and pipeline growth. Develop region/customer specific strategies for targeting selling.

Sales Team Collaboration:

Work closely with Sales Leadership to understand the needs of the sales team and develop the necessary messaging and materials, including sales collateral, presentations, and training materials, to equip them with the tools required for successful outcomes.

Results Tracking and Reporting:

Responsible for the marketing budget and results reporting to stakeholders, including ROI calculations, insights, and data-driven recommendations for improvement. Identify gaps and implement countermeasures to meet growth targets.

80/20 Methodology Advocat

e: Engrain 80/20 methodology into team culture by focusing and prioritizing “A” Customers and “A” Product marketing strategies.

Product Management Partner

: Feed Product Management team new product development funnel with VOC and market data to assist with innovations and solutions that best serve our customers.

QUALIFICATIONS

:

15+ Years B2B Marketing experience

Gas industry and regulatory knowledge

Extensive experience marketing to utilities and distribution partners

Channel Management Experience required

Experience in product launches and go-to-market strategies for gas-related products and services

Proven track record of building and leading high-performance marketing teams: Experience in talent acquisition, development, and retention

Proven success with leveraging data to optimize marketing campaigns and measure ROI

Additional Desired Experience: Sustainability and clean energy solution experience, Digital marketing expertise, sales enablement proficiency
