Job Overview
Join the nation's leading specialty food distributor in a role that will make your friends and co-workers jealous. You will plan and manage all GFI corporate events from food shows, seminars, customer dinners and entertainment opportunities. These events are hosted all over the country providing you with incredible travel opportunities. In addition, you will assist the Marketing and Graphics team with multiple projects including communications.

where you will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of corporate events, from customer dinners to large-scale tradeshows.
What does your day look like ? Some of your duties may include:
Organize and Schedule Events
- Coordinate and manage corporate on/off-site events, focusing on creating impactful experiences. Lead the organization of tradeshows and other events.Venue & Vendor Management
- Source, negotiate, and book venues and vendors. Handle all logistics, including the hiring of decorators, catering, A/V services.Budget Management
-Oversee event budgets and spending.Promotional Activities
- Develop and lead promotional strategies to enhance event engagement.Things you need to be able to do:
Availability
- Must be able to work nights and weekends during tradeshow season.Ability to Travel
- Travel is up to 25%.Skills & Attributes
- Highly organized with a proactive "can-do" mentality. Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of working independently and as part of a team.Highly organized with a "can-do" mentality.Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.Proven experience as event manager.Skilled in project management.Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Microsoft Office.A team player with leadership skills.Proven experience as event managerAbility to lift up to 25 pounds above the waist as needed.Things that are a plus:
