Position SummaryThe Social Media and Content Coordinator will maintain and evolve USA Triathlon's social media presence toeducate, entertain, and inspire current multisport athletes while creating opportunities to grow the sport and reach a new audience. Develops, curates, and creates compelling content to distribute across USA Triathlon's social media platforms, including videos, articles, graphics, and more. Passionate about the ever-evolving social media world and always on top of new social trends, products, and platforms.

Essential Job FunctionsCoordinate with Marketing and Communications Team to create and maintain and publish content plans for all social media channels with a consistent posting cadenceManages USA Triathlon's day-to-day social media presence across all social media channels, including Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and StravaPlans social content calendar and develops or sources unique copy and visual content, including videos, articles, graphics and more, to engage fans, promote the organization's programs and celebrate the sport of triathlonMonitors and analyzes social analytics to guide strategy and best practicesServes as content project manager for select USA Triathlon social media and marketing campaignsCollaborates with team regarding social media strategy and campaigns; leads creative direction, works closely with athletes, partners and other departments at USA Triathlon on content creation; and identifies opportunities for user-generated contentProduces and edits videos in-house for social and web that promote the sport, inspire members and non-members, grow membership, drive traffic to usatriathlon.org and communicate key USA Triathlon initiativesUses social media to increase brand recognition for the sport and organization, improve value perception, inspire members and non-members, grow membership and drive traffic to usatriathlon.orgStays current with social media landscape, marketing and communication methods and other trends, and adapts approaches as needed to stay attractive and relevant with participants, fans, sponsors and donors- including a focus on being youthful and trendy to reach the next generation of the sportProvides event support at various USA Triathlon National Championships through live social media coverage, video creation and assistance with other tasks as needed.Grows USA Triathlon's social media following and online communityActs as vital customer service arm of organization by responding to member and non-member requests and questions on social in a timely mannerSupervisory Responsibilities

A strong communicator with excellent writing and editing skills.Experience and proven knowledge in the social media environment.High proficiency with video and photo editing.Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud collection and Microsoft Office; skilled with Mac and PC operating systems, including mobile devices and technology.Possesses strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple projects at a time.Creative, forward-thinker with the ability to follow emerging trends and bring new ideas to the team.Desire to work within a fast-paced environment as part of a team.Familiarity with the sport of triathlon, or endurance sports, is preferred but not required.Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or other related field required1-2 years of work or internship experience in sports marketing or a similar field preferredOther
