We are looking for a dynamic

Senior Military Strategic Communications Specialist

to join our team! As a Senior Military Strategic Communications Specialist supporting OUSD FE&T, you will be responsible for shaping the narrative surrounding the development and execution of military education policies and training initiatives. Your role will be critical in ensuring that messages about Force Education and Training initiatives are clear, consistent, and impactful for both internal and external stakeholders.

This position will be located in Arlington, VA at the Pentagon.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for reviewing briefings, congressional reports, actions, GAO and IG engagements, personnel awards and recognitions, and all other correspondence to ensure the products are in the correct format, grammar and punctuation, and voice of the DASDResponsible for the creation, current operations, and upkeep of the SharePoint FE&T Strategic Engagement Calendar to ensure all events, TDYs, and other big events of FE&T, ASD(R), USD(P&R), and DoD process (PPME, legislative cycles, etc.) are captured and synchronizedResponsible for populating the ASD(R) SharePoint weekly priority slides and strategic calendar on a weekly basis.Responsible for ensuring the FE&T SharePoint guidance documents, rosters, examples, FE&T SOP, personnel recall rosters, etc., are updated and allow the user easy accessResponsible, in consultation with the FE&T Directors, to write all DASD speeches, engagements, talking points, news articles, and spotlights, and be the public affairs facing SME for the office of FE&TResponsible for assisting other Directors of FE&T with external talking points and media engagement for various forums and functionsResponsible for providing sound consultation with the DASD prior to approved key speaking engagements or interviews in conjunction with the FE&T subject matter expertsUphold confidentiality and discretion in all communications due to the sensitive nature of military education policies and initiativesQualifications:Active Secret Clearance is requiredBachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Multimedia Production, or a related field; Master's Degree preferred8 years of experience in strategic communications within the Military or Federal agency space; a focus on education, training, or military-related initiatives is preferredPrevious experience supporting Executive Level DoD/Military leadership with communication strategies, media relations, and public engagementsProven experience in leading strategic communication efforts, public relations, and branding initiatives within a government or military settingsProficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and social media platforms, with strong project management skills to coordinate cross-functional communication effortsExpertise in multimedia content production, including experience with video/audio recording equipment and digital content creationAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and deadlinesPreferred Qualifications:Strong understanding of military structures, education policies, and training programs, with a demonstrated ability to communicate these concepts to varied audiencesFamiliarity with Force Education and Training policies and initiatives, such as military professional development programsCATHEXIS offers competitive compensation packages to all eligible employees. The annual salary range for this role is $102,000 - $159,000. Please note that the salary information provided is a general guideline.
