Job Title: Mechanical DesignerJob Description
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Designer/Engineer to join our team. This person will support a variety of government projects, including pump stations, treatment plants, and the plumbing, HVAC, and piping for various types of municipal buildings.
Responsibilities
Develop design for mechanical process piping, plumbing, and HVAC systems for Water/Wastewater facilities using recognized industry standards and specifications.
Perform system calculations and studies for piping, plumbing, and HVAC systems, including layout, sizing, head loss, etc., using analytical software.
Utilize AutoCAD for the majority of design/drafting work. If the candidate has Revit skills, they will also use those.

Mechanical engineering or drafting (Associate's degree or higher)
3-10 years of HVAC system design experience on large industrial or similar facilities
Working knowledge of standards and codes pertaining to mechanical and plumbing systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
Revit skills
Water treatment plant mechanical design experience
Work Environment
You will be working in the office full-time, performing design and engineering work. Our company culture is very casual and informal.
