a Freelance Copyeditor with experience in the financial, healthcare, or corporate industries
to join our established financial enterprise client. This opportunity is freelance and will be for a 6-month duration. This role is hybrid three days a week in the Los Angeles, CA office. Since this opportunity is a hybrid, we seek Los Angeles, CA residents.

Widely acknowledged for its unique corporate culture, this organization strongly emphasizes collaboration and a forward-looking perspective.About You:You have a strong eye for detail, ensuring every marketing material is error-free, grammatically correct, and adheres to regulatory and compliance standards.Excellent written and verbal communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively with various internal teams, ensuring that projects are managed efficiently.You have a knack for conveying complex information clearly and concisely through charts and copy, maintaining the desired tone and style to engage our target audience.With your solid understanding of legal and regulatory requirements, you can monitor and incorporate compliance language updates effectively. Your working knowledge of financial and investment concepts enables you to navigate and accurately edit materials within the financial industry.Responsibilities:Thoroughly edit and proofread marketing materials for clarity, grammar, accuracy, consistency, style, and tone, ensuring adherence to disclosure requirements.Verify statistics and facts from reliable sources and recommend edits based on the target audience and style guides.Identify and update quarterly/annual revisions in materials, including statistical data and risk disclosures.Monitor and incorporate compliance updates to ensure legal and regulatory compliance. Assess the impact on existing materials and apply consistent disclosure language across channels.Experience using Workfront and resources like AP Stylebook.Adhere to production schedules, track deliverables, solve problems, and escalate issues as needed.Requirements:3-5 years of copyediting experience.Preferred copy editing experience in the financial, pharmaceutical, healthcare, legal, or tech industries.Experience with Workfront.Must demonstrate sound judgment in resolving moderate complexity issues.Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills and exceptional grammar and syntax.Possess extensive knowledge of spelling, punctuation, grammar, and style guides (Chicago and AP styles).Thrive in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with diverse groups.Must demonstrate attention to detail, process orientation, organizational skills, and multitasking abilities.Manage unpredictable workload to meet deadlines.Working knowledge of financial and investment concepts.Must be comfortable going to Los Angeles, CA, three times a week.Please note: We’re primarily seeking local candidates for onsite or hybrid positions. Relocation options are not available currently.
