Description
The Visual Media Specialist will play a critical role in capturing and producing high-quality visual content that represents the City of Ocala's image and brand. This position requires a creative professional who is passionate about storytelling through photography and video, with a strong understanding of both traditional and digital media. This position will support various city events, initiatives, and campaigns.Examples of Duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Captures professional-quality photos at city events, meetings, and other activities as assigned. Ensure all images reflect the City of Ocala's standards and branding guidelines.• Produces, films, and edits videos for a variety of platforms, including social media, the city's website, internal and external communications. This includes event coverage, promotional videos, and public service announcements.• Organizes and maintains an extensive library of visual assets. Ensures that all content is cataloged and easily accessible for future use.• Ensures all visual content complies with city policies, copyright laws, and privacy considerations.• Assists in designing visually engaging graphics for social media platforms.• Assists in creating social media content as needed.• Assists in the design and maintenance of the City's website.• Collaborates and assists with the Creative Design Specialist to create graphics for the City as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Photography, Film, Multimedia, Communications, or a related field.
