Production Manager IV (CG30/61122138), full-time position with benefits. Salary range: $56,210.00 (minimum) - $80,105.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Actively seeks to grow the university's brand by directing brand-enhancing visual content. Ensures a cohesive and evolving visual identity throughout all initiatives and projects through compelling and effective work.
Provides leadership for the photography and videography staff through professional development and training opportunities, team building, goal setting, coaching, and accountability. Sets and upholds standards for photography and videography production, editing, and distribution.
Develops partnerships and nurtures working relationships with inter-division colleagues as well as campus partners. Provides creative ideas and expertise for multimedia objectives in support of university initiatives. Models, promotes and ensures exceptional customer service delivery to all constituents, including but not limited to, faculty, staff, students, visitors and the community at large.
Manages day-to-day oversight of scheduling and other team operations. Oversees digital asset management, including maintaining appropriate storage systems, overseeing access for campus partners and external stakeholders, and advancing archiving efforts.
Captures visuals and creates collateral in support of team priorities, campus emergencies, and high priority initiatives.Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree. Photography and/or videography experience including production, editing, distribution and storage. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of video production professionals. Strong portfolio with demonstrated mastery of photo and/or video techniques and best practices. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud. Experience using a data asset management system.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing and/or adhering to extensive visual brand guides. Experience using digital asset management systems. University experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, and to set reasonable and accurate timelines for completion. Understands, interprets, and integrates audience needs and wants, marketing goals, and desired tone into work produced. Commitment to developing and establishing visual narratives. Ability to facilitate brainstorming and ideation. Attention to detail, especially with quality control checks. A strong understanding of pre-production, production, and post-production processes, along with industry-standard equipment, software, and techniques. Knowledge of project management principles and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met and that the projects remain within budget. Familiarity with current and emerging trends in multimedia production surrounding technological advancements and content delivery platforms. Expertise in operating production equipment, including cameras, lighting, audio, and editing software. Strong focus on quality and precision in all aspects of video production, from planning to final output.Job Posting
Working indoors and outdoors including exposure to the elements. Position may require night and weekend work as well as a minimal amount of overnight travel. Will require some lifting of production equipment used in the normal performance of job duties.
