Position Description:
ONSITE ONLY drafts and negotiates contracts, service level agreements, and statements of work. Assists with managing the operations, daily planning, engineering, design, and resource allocation for the enterprise's telecommunications functions. Ensures customer satisfaction through quality standards and measures by evaluating the performance of telecommunications networks and related interfaces. Responsible for strategic telecommunications planning and works with senior IT leadership to coordinate telecommunication plans. Develops and implements standards, procedures, and processes for the telecommunications group. Plans and manages support of new technologies, performance, and reliability. Oversees and coordinates the daily activities of the WAN and Premise Distribution Engineers. Performs a coordination role with enterprise management, vendors, and customers.Skills Required Coordinates contract activities, including technical requirements, specifications, obligation adherence, and corrective action plans. Monitors vendors to meet or exceed established criteria. Negotiates, drafts, and incorporates contract amendments to accommodate scope changes or changes in organizational requirements. Reviews agreement budget variances and takes corrective action as needed. Manages the contractual relationship with telecommunications service providers. Serves as the technical and operations point of contract as a liaison between the IT service provider and the customers. Coordinates contract activities, including contract development, negotiation, and transition.
Skills Preferred Middle-level management experience in telecommunications operations. Works under the general direction of senior-level management. Typically manages and mentors supervisors, project leaders, and/or technical staff. Works on multiple, complex projects as a project leader and a subject matter expert. Has the ability to communicate complex IT issues to peers, Directors, Executive Directors, and the Secretary of OIT.Experience Required Manager, Telecommunications Operations Team Leader Typically has 4 to 6 years of finance or telecommunications contract management experience. IT work experience including coordinating team(s) responsible for infrastructure/network/telecommunications operations and support in multi-platform environments. Coordinate contract activities, including contract development, negotiation, and transition. Monitor vendor contracts to ensure terms and conditions are met. Create, negotiate, and incorporate contract amendments, if required, to accommodate scope changes or changes in organizational requirements.
Experience Preferred:
7 to 10 years of IT work experience including coordinating team(s) responsible for infrastructure/network/telecommunications operations and support in multi-platform environments.Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or another related field. Or equivalent work experience.
