In collaboration with the Associate Vice President for Marketing and Communications, the Marketing and Communications Specialist will support various aspects of our digital marketing efforts, enhancing and expanding our online presence and engaging our diverse audience of prospective students, current students, alumni, and other stakeholders to promote the College's mission, vision, and values. The ideal candidate will be a versatile team player who can adapt to the changing needs of our marketing and communications department while maintaining a strong focus on creating high-quality, engaging content that elevates our institution's brand and supports our recruitment and engagement goals.
Essential Responsibilities:
Write and design compelling content that aligns with Keuka College's objectives, effectively reaching diverse audiences through digital and print media across platforms such as social media, email, website, and digital advertising.Develop content calendars to ensure timely delivery of all written communications.Collaborate with the marketing team, faculty, and other stakeholders to craft narratives that highlight academic programs, student life, institutional achievements, and key strategic initiatives.Optimize written content for SEO to increase organic traffic and visibility.Monitor and analyze the performance of written content using tools like Google Analytics, providing insights for continuous improvement.Support email marketing campaigns with engaging written content and oversee social media management.Contribute to digital advertising efforts by assisting with ad copywriting and landing page text.Stay up-to-date with higher education marketing trends and best practices in content writing.Foster an inclusive approach in content creation that reflects our diverse community.Physical Requirements:
Occasional lifting up to 25lbs.Required to work occasional weekend and evening hours.Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.3-5 years of experience in digital content creation with a strong emphasis on writing, preferably in higher education.Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms.Strong understanding of SEO and content optimization techniques.Experience with email marketing platforms and best practices.Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web design principles is beneficial.Analytical skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a higher education setting.Proven track record of successful written content campaigns.Commitment to professional development and staying current with industry trends.

Salary Description
$60,000 to $65,000
