The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst - Marketing/Media is responsible for managing the sourcing process for marketing and media categories, including digital, traditional, and social media, as well as creative agencies, public relations, and other marketing services. This individual works closely with marketing, finance, and procurement teams to ensure cost-effective, innovative, and high-quality solutions are sourced from vendors.
Job Description
Category Management & Strategy Development:
Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for marketing and media services across categories such as advertising, public relations, digital marketing, social media, events, and sponsorships.Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with the company's business objectives and ensure savings targets are met.Conduct market research to understand trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing benchmarks.
Vendor Management:
Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key vendors and agencies to ensure the best terms and performance.Negotiate contracts with media outlets, advertising agencies, and other marketing partners.Monitor vendor performance, ensuring adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Cost Savings & Negotiation:
Analyze spend data and identify cost-saving opportunities across marketing and media categories.Work with the finance team to ensure cost tracking and budget alignment.Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to optimize the return on investment (ROI).
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Partner with internal marketing, procurement, and legal teams to ensure compliance with company policies and alignment on strategy.Engage with senior leaders to gain approval for major sourcing decisions and present data-driven recommendations.
Risk Management & Compliance:
Ensure that all contracts and purchases comply with legal, regulatory, and company policies.Identify and mitigate potential risks in vendor relationships and contracts.
Analytics & Reporting:
Provide detailed reporting on marketing/media spend, savings, vendor performance, and industry trends.Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement in sourcing processes.

The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.5-7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management, particularly in marketing or media-related services.Strong negotiation skills with experience managing large marketing or media contracts.Knowledge of marketing services, including digital, social, and traditional media buying.Advanced skills in data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.Proficiency in procurement systems and tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa).Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
What's on Offer
Target compensation for the Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst - Marketing/Media is $80,000 - $130,000 base salary.
