KinderCare Learning Companies is looking for an experienced Product Owner to shape and drive the website products that support the development of our Digital Family Experience Program. This effort will have a large focus on technology modernization - to embrace digital technologies and applications, agile ways of working and methodologies, DevOps, and a culture centered around the KinderCare family and center experience.

The Product Owner will own and maintain Product Strategy, Product Roadmap, and Product Backlog, including definition of user stories and acceptance criteria working directly with internal and external partners to successfully deliver value. This role will need to be able to demonstrate the delivery of business results through proactive problem solving, data-driven decision making, and rich interpersonal coordination across functional teams.

Responsibilities:

Own, prioritize, and maintain the Product Strategy, Product Roadmap and Backlog, including definition of user stories and acceptance criteria.

Serve as the voice of the customer and translate customer insights into prioritized features and requirements.

Drive business process transformation in conjunction with digital upgrades.

Partner with Digital Marketing as key customer to ensure effective prioritization.

Manage optimal customer experience for external and internal facing applications.

Work with internal partners to understand business problem statements, prioritize these needs based on business impact and convert them into initiatives.

Continuously and transparently communicate with internal collaborators the prioritization of the Product Roadmap and Backlog and the status of development efforts.

Perform as a functional bridge between external partners for a 3rd party payment gateway and internal partners.

Work with Agile Delivery Leads to help direct, motivate, and guide the agile delivery teams.

Actively participate in the Scrum Sprint Ceremonies.

Review completed development work to ensure specified acceptance criteria have been met and stories meet the definition of done.

Manage, prioritize, and quickly assess the business impact of defects, and promote built-in quality throughout the development process.

Ensure that Scrum Team deliverables meet agreed-upon standards for quality and non-functional requirements, and that the products meet the stated business need.

Understand the underlying business process & mechanics behind the data.

Collaborate with the other Product Owners and Technical teams across the organization (including solution architects, development leads) to ensure we are meeting our product objectives through appropriate solution design considering dependencies.

Qualifications:

Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done with an open-mind and positive attitude.

Ability to actively listen and reflect to drive positive outcomes.

Strong persuasion, prioritization, and communication skills.

Highly organized and adept at prioritization - you can recognize and keep track of all the moving pieces, adjusting to new information and goals.

Strong understanding of website functionality, user behavior and conversion funnels.

Technology understanding and ability to understand technology architecture.

Knowledgeable in technology and software development processes.

Experience using core business applications and the ability to translate this experience into KinderCare’s ecosystem and environment.

Experienced with payment processes in same or similar industry.

Proven track record of coordinating all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.

Ability to cooperate and comfortable when working with internal & external tech teams.

Ability to drive business process change across the organization.

Demonstrable ability to develop product strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to leadership.

Skilled at working effectively with multi-functional teams in a matrixed organization.

Conflict resolution – not afraid to tackle difficult topics/conversation and able to successfully facilitate discussion to drive appropriate outcomes, including consideration of different approaches or viewpoints.

Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to consistently deliver business results.

Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to foster open dialogue.
