Who You AreThe Associate Director, Marketing will support the development of a late-stage commercial asset, Acoramidis, for ATTR-cardiomyopathy. The individual will drive cross-functional collaboration and tactical alignment, ensuring success in the U.S. The primary responsibility of this role will be to drive marketing activities that are supportive of the launch of Acoramidis with patients. Working closely with cross-functional team members, this role has both strategic and tactical responsibility to achieve key launch objectives. The position requires excellent communication skills, leadership, and a proven ability to influence the organization. Candidates should feel at home in a fast-paced environment. This role will report to the Director of Patient Marketing.
Responsibilities
Develop and lead critical elements of the patient brand strategy
Provide tactical and strategic input on crucial planning items across all patient activities, including omnichannel marketing campaigns
Lead the development of branded and unbranded patient promotional tactics
Drive execution through the management of and partnership with external agencies
Leverage market research and analytics to optimize promotional marketing tactics
Establish Key Performance Indicators, regularly tracking and measuring the success of initiatives and tactics
Establish close working relationships with other marketing colleagues to ensure synergies across the brand marketing mix
Implement a communication strategy to ensure alignment with cross-functional partners, including patient advocacy, patient services, and medical affairs
Engage externally with patients and caregivers and ensure that the patient voice is reflected across all activities
Gain approval for marketing materials through an internal review process, including management reviews and Medical-Legal-Regulatory; secure final production.
Ensure that all marketing activities comply with regulatory and legal requirements
Analyze complex brand opportunities and provide logical recommendations; lead any required action planning
Proactively assess the relevant market landscape monitor changes in market dynamics, competition, and patient needs

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements
7+ years of industry experience, including 2 years in pharmaceutical marketing
The role is based in San Francisco, CA, and the ability to spend time working with teams in our S.F. office is a must
Prior patient marketing experience is preferred
Creative agency and strong digital experience is preferred
Demonstrated record of successful pharmaceutical/biotech marketing progression/experience
Ability to distill complex science into simple relevant messaging for patient audiences
A proven ability to leverage market insights from multiple data sources, including market research, advisory boards, and field force input, to uncover needs and develop opportunities
Experience with marketing strategy, sales, and regulatory policies and practices
Ability to conceive, develop, and implement multi-dimensional marketing and business plans
High-level strategic thinking, with the ability to translate customer insights into actionable marketing strategy and to align with key stakeholders on operational priorities
Proven self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team across multiple projects
Collaborates seamlessly across functions to build effective working relationships and align on strategy and execution.
A passion for engaging and advocating for patients
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
