The Director, US Enzyme Replacement Therapy (ERT) Marketing Lead will be responsible for overarching marketing strategy and execution for ERTs in the U.S.BioMarin is uniquely positioned as the historic and future leader in ERTs. The Director, ERT US Marketing Lead is responsible for overarching HCP vision, strategy and tactics for the cross-functional brand team for the ERT portfolio. They must be a seasoned leader who can influence without direct reporting relationships across all key stakeholder teams in the US (sales, reimbursement hub, market access, global product strategy, medical affairs, compliance, learning and development, etc.). Furthermore, the leader will be critical in reimagining how to best commercialize the ERTs while maximizing value of the portfolio.Strong results orientation and a sense of urgency to get things done are critical. This professional should be a disciplined individual that embraces innovative approaches, and is comfortable in a nimble and growing commercial organization. The Director, ERT US Marketing Lead must be creative and adaptable to unique and changing situations, be goal-oriented, know how to set aggressive, achievable targets, and motivate internal cross-functional teams as well as third-party vendors and agencies. A strong passion for supporting patients with Rare Disease and their HCPs through compelling marketing and educational programs is essential.This position serves as the

US Marketing Lead for US Enzyme Replacement Therapy (ERT)

and will be accountable for:

Defining the regional strategy and overseeing the execution of related initiatives in the US for ERTs.Ensuring the ERT strategic and tactical plan is established and maintained.Lead and execute the US marketing strategy for customer stakeholders to drive growth across the region.Collaborating with key cross-functional stakeholders to ensure input, insight and feedback is represented in strategies and operational plans.Acting as the subject matter expert for ERTs and the related strategy in the region.RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop US commercial strategies and tactics to support continued portfolio maximization for the ERTs.Collaboratively engage with US community stakeholders including healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups, and patients to ensure integration of their perspectives into all plans.Frequent cross-functional collaboration with multiple internal groups (e.g., compliance, sales, field based clinical support, market access, medical, commercial learning and development, marketing operations, etc.), to set vision and execution plan for branded promotions as well as disease state education.Lead and maintain multi-specialty Medical Expert identification & engagement, HCP speaker development, and conference strategy & management.Lead HCP and consumer insight gathering initiatives including leading advisory boards and market research projects.Partner with Digital Community team for optimal planning and execution.Marketing reviewer and approver on the BioMarin Promotional Review Board (PRB) for all portfolio materials, both branded and unbranded (DSE).Oversight of advertising agencies and internal graphic designers on the development, execution, and maintenance of HCP/consumer branded and unbranded materials.Oversee plans for appropriate rollout and training of key resources and materials during POA meetings for live and/or webex training, in collaboration with Commercial Learning and Development team.Identify and plan insight collection initiatives to inform brand strategy (e.g., Advisory Boards and/or Market Research with HCPs and/or patients).Partner closely with global commercial teams to ensure strategic and tactical alignment.REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

Minimum 10+ years of related experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, preferably within Rare Disease.Orphan drug experience required.Experience with strategic and executional marketing required.Industry sales experience beneficial, but not required.Experience working in complex and diffused markets preferred.Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, including cross-functional influence without authority, is critical.Strong facilitation and leadership skills required.Ability to interact with and positively influence all levels of business across multiple departments.Strong analytical skills, solid general business skills and a good understanding of the US pharmaceutical market.Excellent project management, attention to detail and executional experience a must-have.EDUCATION

The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A discretionary bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
