This position is located in Austin at 1411 Brazos-Downtown Annex building with opportunity to telework (require two or more days in office at Austin Office) and participate in on-site rotating work schedule.You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas. Interviews will be conducted virtually.

What You Will Do :The UI Human Resources Coordinator I (Staff Services Officer I) performs routine (journey-level) staff services work. Work involves performing work in several functions such as human resources, purchasing, training, payroll, records management, and property management. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO :-Enter, update, and/or retrieve information from Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System (CAPPS), Taleo, and SharePoint.-Explain Human Resource (HR) regulations, policies, or procedures to internal and external customers.-Serve as point of contact for hiring managers throughout the UI division regarding job postings.-Serve as point of contact for the UI division concerning HR questions.-Provide high-quality customer service to UI team members throughout the division.-Perform related duties as needed and assigned.
YOU QUALIFY WITH :-Six months of full-time experience in business management, human resource administration, budget preparation or control, or a related staff services function.-Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.
YOU ARE GREAT FIT WITH:- Experience working for the State of Texas in a human resources function.- Experience with PeopleSoft- Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite- Experience using SharePoint
