Overview
We are looking for a multi-faceted, organized professional to fill an important role for Interior Logic Group. The primary responsibility of the Design Studio Manager is to oversee daily operations of design studio, design studio personnel, and design studio processes. This position will oversee Design Studios, Staff & Business in Corona, Irvine, and Palm Desert.

In addition to our homebuilder solutions, we are also a valued provider of supply chain management and installation services for a diverse range of multifamily, commercial and repair and remodel customers.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with internal and external customers to ensure a positive experience with the company’s design studios and staff.
• Work with builders and designers to complete model homes as requested.
•Manage designers and designers in training including appointment coverage, training, HR issues, workday requests and entries, reviews, commissions, etc.
• Work with Director of Design & Vendors to select materials in design studios, maintain product, drops, pricing, sampling, etc.
• Frequent collaboration with Director of Design on reporting, staffing needs or concerns, workload, and assess needs for training.
• Frequent and consistent collaboration with all internal departments; Sales Support, Production, Customer Service, Sales, Revenue Assurance to relay important updates and /or changes, process improvement implementation, etc.
• Special support projects for design team; managing waivers/warranties, managing/updating design checklists, identifying needs for builder computer program training and ILG computer program training.
• Work with onsite builder’s sales teams to supply them with company sales materials such as standard sample boards, maps, contacts, etc.
• Facilitate appropriate product knowledge (PK) training with design team and track sales results, identifying challenges and successes and reporting those analytics to Director of Design
• Support off site design studios and designers with pricing, grouping, samples, IT and hardware set up, utilities management and approval of invoices related to studio, etc.
• Set up off site builder’s design studios as requested; Design Studio layout, product selection and ordering, and oversee some construction with assistance from field staff.
• Assist in development of training tools for designers and design studio trainees.
• Work with Sales Support Teams & Director of Design to create builder upgrade flooring programs/builder information sheets/books/showroom samples based on information and input from sales teams
• Adopt and implement National Design Studio objectives, goals, and programs as applicable and report successes and challenges to Director of Design monthly, quarterly, yearly
• Manage and react to design sales/survey reports and manage follow up reports and training
• Any other field duties as assigned but including job walks, model walks, production walks and field visits
• Attend builder events, model openings, offsite meetings as requested Qualifications
• Experience in construction; including flooring, cabinet, and countertops
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bilingual experience preferred but not required (English/Spanish/other)
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the public.
• Interpersonal skills to develop and maintain professional working relationships with builders, vendors, subordinates and co-workers
• Ability to proactively identify, analyze, address and resolve problem areas, conflicts and issues; strong decision-making skills
• Organizational skills to ensure adequate tracking systems are utilized to maintain and track all required information associated with the ordering and production process
• Working knowledge of internet, inventory, project management, spreadsheet and word process software and order processing systems
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Products and Apple Applications
