Summary of Role:
The Director of Launch Excellence has the unique opportunity to impact the lives of patients all around the world. S/he will be responsible for leading an innovative commercial market approach to establish launch excellence across the organization and lead the launch of new products from late phase 2/early phase three trials. S/he will need to collaborate cross functionally, across the entire organization as well as within the Commercial organization. Strong strategic and analytical skills are a required skill set and will be responsible be necessary to achieve the Commercial organizations strategic and financial goals as well as developing short and long-term plans in support of the corporate objectives and to meet the needs of our key stakeholders and customers.
The leader will be required to maximize the business potential of each new product by ensuring appropriate commercial planning and execution efforts. This role will be responsible for partnering with leaders across the organization to develop and execute the launch strategy, launch execution plan and launch KPIs to effectively manage launches across all interfacing workstreams. This position requires strong in-line leadership as well as the ability to influence and engage across the organization (e.g., Market Access, Regulatory, Contracting, Commercial Operations, Supply Chain, International, Medical, Business Development, etc.).
S/he will be an ambassador for instilling our cultural values and influential in recruiting, retaining, and developing talent to deliver better patient outcomes. It will also be the responsibility of this position to execute continued efforts towards enterprise resource planning to ensure long term sustainability of the business and improve our employee experience and productivity.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Excellence and Innovation, the Director will:
Lead development and implementation of Launch Excellence methods across the organization driving best-in-industry commercialization of all new product and therapies.Build strategic and fully integrated launch plans alongside Head of Launch Excellence - partner with key functions/stakeholders to create, advance, and adjust launch plans while establishing/leveraging launch excellence strategies and methods.Drive progress, identify risks, and cross-functional interdependencies across all launch workstreams.Lead scenario planning, risk assessments, and prioritization of critical launch activities; create end-to-end launch KPIs.Direct brand/service development, analytics, pricing, distribution, objectives, deployment and policies and procedures for effective and compliant commercialization of the franchise brands and servicesConduct market analysis to create, implement and update strategic commercial new product plans and performance objectives as appropriate; anticipate market trends; ensure execution of such plans to achieve maximum revenue, growth, and profitability.Leverage and align full range of resources to meet rigorous timelines; routinely make decisions that affect current and long-range corporate objectives.Proactively communicate with relevant internal stakeholders to identify, plan, develop and/or revise project deliverables which are identified for product or launch success.Demonstrate and employ the judgment, flexibility and situational leadership required to lead sales and marketing through complex combinations of market challenges, including business and organizational change necessitated by changes in the medical, regulatory, and business environment.CAPABILITIES / COMPETENCIES:
Contribute commercial industry expertise to the development and execution of corporate strategic plan as appropriate; consistently demonstrates exceptional judgement.Build and cultivate productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, business leaders/organizations, and colleagues that are essential to the success of Lantheus products and business at large.Lead the team to manage growth and change, develop human capital, and create and maintain a culture of engagement and accountability. Consistent track record of providing prompt and objective feedback, coaching, and counseling to enhance or improve performance by setting expectations and holding individuals accountable for performance and behavior.Champion and instill company and cultural values. Ensure initiatives align with Lantheus' culture and corporate goals.Proven ability to communicate ideas and information both verbally and written in a persuasive and appropriate manner to all levels within the organization.Demonstrate the ability to make enterprise-wide decisions and remain persistently focused on priorities.PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Minimum of 10 years in positions of escalating scope and responsibility within healthcare organizations or the equivalentExtensive commercial experience with a solid record of achievement in either therapeutics or diagnostics, including launch experience.Comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and or medical device industry and hospital systems (e.g., GPOs, Medical Directors, P&T Committees, referral patterns, etc.), as well as federal, state, industry, company and customer compliance regulations and policyWide range of pharmaceutical/diagnostic/medical device commercial experience/knowledge inclusive of marketing and/or sales, commercial operations, training, and launch/new product planningExceptional presentation skillsPreferred:
Experience in Oncology, including prostate cancer.Clinical, scientific, and/or technical discipline knowledge (e.g., radiopharmaceuticals, urology related disease states, treatment paradigms, and future trends)MBAOTHER REQUIREMENTS
