Summary of Position
:
The Director of Marketing will be a critical member of the U.S. Commercial team responsible for leading and executing marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, utilization and revenue growth. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, this role will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our marketing initiatives and maximizing the potential of the portfolio.
We are looking for a passionate leader who is equally comfortable developing high-level brand strategies and "rolling up their sleeves". This role will lead the development of the HCP marketing strategies, plan and execution of the initiatives including personal and non-personal promotion. This role will be the primary point of contact for sales, market access / key accounts, and sales training and work cross-functionally.
Responsibilities
:
Develop a compelling and differentiated positioning and clear strategic choices for the brand, grounded in deep customer insights and analytics. Lead the development and execution of HCP marketing plans informed by customer and market insights. Design the total HCP omnichannel ecosystem (personal and non-personal) and work with internal and external stakeholders to build and implement (CRM) Develop strong partnership with Sales Leadership, spending time in the field to understand customer insights and what is needed to support the personal channel in the achievement of business objectives. Obtain early input and ongoing feedback on messaging and tactics. Partner with Medical team to identify unmet data needs; develop plan to ensure thoughtful data/messaging flow for life cycle management; strive for strategic alignment. Partner with Commercial Operations/Analytics to finalize targeting, deployment needs, validate insights, optimize marketing mix and monitor performance and ROI of tactics Ensure execution of plans and deliverables through stages of strategic planning, content development, promotional/medical/legal/regulatory review, production, deployment, measurement, and optimization to meet objectives on time and on budget Bring an innovative, entrepreneurial attitude and combine out-of-the box ideas with established marketing tactics to identify efficient and appropriate channels for engaging with HCPs audiences on branded messaging in a dynamic environment (including post-COVID landscape) Effectively collaborate with creative agency partners, market research vendors, and members of the Medical Legal Review Team to execute plans and tactics effectively, on time and on budget; communicate the strategic direction for the brand and hold partners accountable for success metrics A pivotal member of the Commercial and Product Strategy Teams Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Sales, Sales Training, Market Access & Key Accounts, Medical, Commercial Insights & Analytics, Regulatory, and others Drive the spirit of Innoviva Specialty Therapeutics across all functions to support a full team approach to focus on our patients and customers as our top priority Experience & Education:
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in the fields of Marketing, Business or a life-science related discipline 7 plus years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology commercial roles, with 3 plus years of experience successfully executing HCP-focused marketing campaigns Branded antibiotic experience is preferred Prior experience in Field Sales or Sales Training would be a plus Skills and Abilities:
