Reporting to the Executive Director of the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) with the ability to work remotely from anywhere in the United States, the Director of Marketing & Communications will be responsible for all digital and print communications including the promotion of membership, certifications, and virtual/in-person events.

The Director of Marketing & Communications will be expected to provide leadership as well as collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on strategic planning initiatives and the implementation of communications and marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities Strategic Marketing Plans: Direct the implementation of tactical communication plans with responsibility for results such as member renewals, event registrations, and digital engagement.
Membership Value: Create and deliver compelling presentations and communications that clearly articulate the benefits and value of SPFA.
Messaging and Outreach Campaigns: Advance marketing strategies by educating members, non-members, and industry representatives on SPFA services.
Promotional Tactics: Build and maintain strong relationships with media and industry partners while providing direction on messaging and content, design, production, and distribution.
Digital Communications: Spearhead strategies to maximize multi-channel communications (e.g., e-marketing, podcasts, social media, videos) including print and digital advertising copy, design, and placement, as well as earned media.
Leadership and Oversight: Guide the maintenance and updating of SPFA’s website, social media platforms, external advertising, and sponsorship sales including planning and implementation.
Media Relations: Oversee and engage in media relations activities, including building and maintaining relationships while coordinating interviews, media appearances, and press releases.
Video Production: Manage scripts, recordings, and editing of short-form promotional and informational videos to use on social media and in member communications.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in communications, marketing, and/or public relations, preferably within a trade association.
Superb oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to represent a nonprofit organization when interacting with members, board leadership, and the media.
Ability to develop salient, meaningful and technically accurate content through both a collaborative and self-directed manner.
Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate with industry stakeholders.
Experience tying marketing and communications plans and tactics to key metrics.
Excellent organizational silks, adept at managing multiple complex projects and deadlines.
Ability to work independently and be effective in a team-oriented environment.
Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as SPFA determines is necessary to meet its marketing and communications needs.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 5+ years of managerial experience including overseeing direct reports.
Master-level skills in MS Office Suite and proficiency with AMS software.
Understanding and meeting the needs of dues-paying members.

NOTES: Position Salary Range: $85,000 – $95,000 SPFA offers health benefits, retirement benefits, negotiated vacation, and sick leave as well as
