Job Overview

Freelance Technical Designer (Temp to Perm)

Predominantly Men’s underwear, base layers, and sleep/lounge

This role will support the development of product from concept to production, while working closely with the Technical Design Team, Designers and Production to achieve high standards of quality and consistency in fabric, fit and construction.

Responsibilities:

• Measure and spec garments from salesman sample to production sample
• Review and check balance of patterns
• Manage time and workflow to meet productions deadlines
• Engage in good working relationships with factories to achieve an understanding or the technical and quality requirements needed for the product
• Engage and assist in fit sessions
• Enter specifications into PLM system
• Assist with fit comments for upper management and factories
• Completion of various administrative tasks.
• Establish quality control standards.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in technical design
• Patternmaking Experience or degree
• Bachelor’s degree or associate degree
• Proficient in excel, PLM, other program
• Knowledge of sewing and garment construction
• Ability to write product specs
• Ability to work with Vendors and help ensure and improve manufacturing quality and fit of
• Products
• Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines
• Experience with Tech Design- men's underwear a plus
• Browzwear and Walmart experience a plus
