Salary Range: $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 Annually. Salary will be dependent upon experience.
Job Summary:
Working in a collaborative manner with other landscape architects, civil engineers, planners and technical staff, the Landscape Architect/ Designer would be responsible for assisting with the preparation of plans, drawings, submittals, and related documents for a variety of public and private development projects, including parks and open space, land development, streetscape, waterfronts, master planned communities and urban design, and related site development plans and construction documents.
Essential Functions:
- Preparation and coordination of conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents for a variety of project types with special attention to detail.
- Preparation and coordination of project graphics, 2D and 3D visualization for client presentation.
- Preparation and coordination of construction details and technical specifications with keen attention to detail.
- Preparation and coordination of project presentation plans, drawings, and project graphics.
- Assistance to mid and senior level staff in preparing project entitlement submittals and presentation materials.
- Understanding of and experience with entitlements, planning, and approval process.
- Mentor and coach junior team members.
Competencies:
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Experience with or interest in community design and planning
- Position requires creative design skills and problem-solving capabilities
- High degree of demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Land F/X, Sketch Up and Lumion experience is desirable
- Capacity to integrate multi-disciplinary project approach with planners, engineers, architects, and environmental scientists.
- Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Education and Experience:
- Undergraduate or graduate degree from accredited program in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design and/or Planning.
- 5-10 years of professional experience in the private and/or public sector with references.
- Valid driver's license, in conjunction with successfully passing the Company’s MVR.
