The future is here!The Interactive Web Designer reports to the Associate Vice President, Marketing and Communications and is responsible for Davidson-Davie Community College's overall web presence as well as other online presences that the College has.What you'll do on a typical dayWork with all departments on campus to perform needed day to day website updates to various Davidson-Davie websites.Maintain organization within the Marketing Department's website update request ticketing systemWork with outside website hosting vendor to ensure website performance is optimal for all usersCollaborate with internal and external designers to implement needed visual changes to the website pages.Ensure websites are accessible for ADA & WCAG ComplianceCorrect broken links, misspellings and other errors outlined in weekly reportsHelp maintain other various digital presences of the CollegeMaintain sensitivity, understanding and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgroundsSupport the mission, vision, and values of the College and attends College events and meetingsPerform other tasks as assigned which support the mission and initiatives of the CollegeYour attributesRequired Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree5 years of experience related to the duties and responsibilities specifiedIn depth experience with WordPress content management systemExperience in implementing best practices in WCAG accessibility standardsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in manipulating images using Adobe Creative SuiteExperience with Apple computersExperience in working with basic HTML codingExperience in working with photography equipment and social media in a business settingAbility to lead and manage change through collaborative leadershipAbility to manage and coordinate multiple projects and meet critical deadlinesAbility to develop and apply flexibility, resourcefulness, and creative approaches to unique problemsAbility to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse individuals and groups of peoplePresentation SkillsFamiliarity with and commitment to the community college's purposeWork environmentADA requirements for this position include critical thinking skills with the ability to process information and exercise good judgment; ease of mobility within the office setting and other areas of campus; effective use of all forms of communication; and the ability to perform general office duties, including use of the computer.
