Salary: Compensation Range: $96,300-$130,000 annually. This posting contains a salary range that DMI believes, at the time of this posting, that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. We anticipate hiring for this position near the middle of the range. It is uncommon, except for situations where an external candidate possesses experience, credentials and/or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, that DMI would consider paying a salary near the higher end of the range. DMI's Rosemont office (greater Chicagoland area) is conveniently located across from O’Hare Airport and is accessible to the CTA Blue Line and Metra transit. Position Overview:
DMI is in search of a consumer insights professional with 3-7 years of experience in a consumer-related company.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Foresight, Trends & Discovery, you will be a part of a larger strategic intelligence team, contributing to the overall understanding of consumer and marketplace trends, and implications for the dairy industry. You will support the Strategic Intelligence Team’s goal of being the dairy industry’s authority on trends and cultural intelligence by leveraging unique data sources and methodologies that drive growth.
Responsibilities:
Drive the creation of multiple reports and intelligence deliverables on dairy and food and beverage trends to inform planning and drive business decisions
Develop cultural intelligence topic reports on a variety of culturally relevant areas of needs and importance to DMI teams and DMI and Industry leadership
Act as the lead insights resource for the sustainability team, developing and delivering on key pieces of work to accomplish team goals
Develop work to support the Innovation Center (IC) committees and IC objectives
Manage and drive the improvement and use of new research tools and methodologies informing trends and cultural intelligence work, to support a variety of cross-enterprise work objectives
Work on consulting projects with a variety of industry companies and partners as needed
Ensure work is widely shared within DMI, enterprise, partners and key audiences
Qualifications and Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in social sciences or an analytical field
3-7 years insights experience, preferably with a CPG or a consumer intelligence company or consultancy
Experience with a variety of syndicated intelligence tools including social listening tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to see patterns in data
Curious and passionate about uncovering new opportunities for dairy
Good time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent storytelling and written and verbal communication skills
