Your Role
The Senior Designer, Accessories is a Manager-level position responsible for creating commercially viable product designs for the Victoria's Secret & Co Accessories categories. This role presents and delivers brand-right designs that tie back to the overall concept and business strategy, encompassing style, color/print, and fabric for new and existing product lines. This role researches and interprets fashion trends and consumer needs that uphold the integrity of the product lines/brand. This person demonstrates a passion for the brand, inspires individuals, and relies on managerial skills to plan and accomplish goals. This person manages works under minimal supervision, exercising a moderate degree of scope/decision-making.

Your Impact
• Initiate Accessories ideas at conception and deliver strong concepts and ideas for a marketable product line.
• Create brand-right, commercial designs that reflect the conceptual direction and business strategy.
• Deliver product designs with flawless execution, achieving goals with speed, agility, and acute attention to detail on time and in budget.
• Adapt designs based on feedback, incorporating for finalization.
• Execute design sketches/prototypes and provide specifications.
• Generate technical packages on Adobe Illustrator including sketches, product photos, measurements, and specifications that result in prototypes and market samples that represent requirements.
• Manage, inspire, and develop a team of junior design talent.
• Present designs to internal leader/team as well as key cross-functional partners.
• Actively participate in design and proto reviews with the Design Team and Product Development team.
• Collaborate and communicate with key partners throughout the design process including Merchandising, Product Development, and Marketing.
• Implement processes to understand/anticipate the needs of the customer to exceed customer expectations and readily react to their needs.
• Identify and recommend resources in sourcing new ideas, both internally and externally, and conduct ongoing competitor research/trend analysis.
• Anticipate/solve potential issues and provide conflict resolution.
• Assess practices to identify opportunities for greater efficiency and speed in delivery.

Your Experience
• Degree in the design field with 8+ years related industry experience.
• Knowledge of handbag, small leather goods, and general accessory construction required.
• Knowledge of materials and hardware required.
• Proven experience as a designer with a portfolio showcasing strong sense of style and high taste level.
• Must have strong sketching ability, both freeform and technical drawings.
• Experience developing product directly with factories.
• Prior experience managing, inspiring, and developing junior design talent.
• Displays understanding of development from concept to production stage.
• Ability to build technical packages including sketches, measurements, details, color, and material placement.
• Advanced comprehension and usage of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign.
• Detail oriented skills and dedication to quality required.
• Collaborative partner with a team-oriented, and customer-service approach.
• Solid communication and presentation skills.
• Champion for change and able to react with speed and agility.
• Displays personal professionalism and accountability
• Moderate domestic and minimal international travel.
• Ability to be in NY office 3 days per week.
Preferred Experience
• Preferred experience using Centric PLM.
