Job Type Full-time Description The Associate Designer will support the Senior Designer and Design Director throughout the development cycle of missy apparel, from concept to production. Key responsibilities include creating flat sketches and CAD work in Illustrator and Photoshop, developing design presentation boards, and maintaining communication with factories and cross-functional teams. The role requires a solid understanding of garment specifications and construction for wovens and cut/sew items, as well as experience in tech pack creation. Responsibilities Support the senior designer and design director throughout the development cycle from concept to production. Proficient with flat sketches in Illustrator, cad work in Photoshop and able to make design presentation boards Communicate and follow up with factories and cross functioning teams throughout product development cycles Solid understanding of specs and construction details for wovens and cut/sew Experienced with Tec pack creation Market shopping and trend research Attend fittings sessions for areas of responsibility Strong organizational skills to keep records and maintain line sheets of all designs and components Knowledge of fabrics, hardware and trims Experience with print s/off, hardware, and trim approvals Knowledge of the full life cycle of a garment Knowledge of PLM is a plus Requirements 3-5 years of experience in knit and woven missy apparel design Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design or a related field Strong organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proactive team player with a good understanding of the technical aspects of construction, fit, and standard specifications Hybrid Work Schedule 3 days a week in the office, 2 days work from home New York Pay Rate $53,000 - $65,000 We strive to hire and nurture amazing talent.
