Location:- Poway, CA (ONSITE)
Duration:- 6+ Months.
Pay:- $56 to $63/hr on W2.
Please note:- Only US Citizens at the moment due to the nature of the client. Client deals with Department of Defense. CLearance is not required for the role.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- With little supervision, this position assists engineers in the design and development of complex and detailed layouts of printed circuit boards.
- Provides creative technical solutions to working plans, detailed drawings, and completed electrical drawings of printed circuit (PC) board components and assemblies for a wide variety of complex products and components of products.
- Works from preliminary schematics, notes, part lists, rough or detailed sketches, a basic description of the board function, and configuration and arrangement as defined by engineering.
- Establishes design standards and configurations.
- Verifies completed design elements while checking dimensions, materials to be used and quantities.
- Assignments are normally outlined in terms of overall objectives and anticipated results.
- Work is reviewed at major milestones or at completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
- May provide direction to less experienced PC board designers and support staff.
- Essential Functions
- Provides leadership in developing practicable and innovative PC board design solutions for assigned complex products and components of products.
- Interacts with engineering staff on PC board design concepts and progress.
- May be assigned PC board design oversight of a project or program.
- Using CAD specialty engineering design software PADS Power PCB and PADS Power Logic (PCAD 8.5 optional), develops complex Schematics, PC board layouts and drawings, and details related structural assemblies and devices.
- Validates conformity to design standards and specifications and identifies design errors and other deficiencies, and recommends changes.
- Makes engineering computations and develops designs utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software, and makes adjustments in drawings and specifications.
- Provides documentation including schematics and PC board layouts and identifies design issues.
- Archives engineering data files per company configuration control procedures, and interacts with PCB vendors to coordinate the manufacturing of PC boards and electronic assemblies.
- May provide direction to less experienced PC board designers and support staff.
- Remains current in CAD techniques, ANSI Y4.15 drawing principles, IPC Standards or equivalent, as well as appropriate specialty design software and associated applications.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company
- Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices. Additional Functions Other duties as assigned or required.
Job Qualifications
Requires an Associates’ degree or a training certificate from a recognized organization indicating completion of training in basic electronics technology and in CAD design software and four or more years of progressive experience designing PC boards utilizing CAD engineering design software PADS Power PCB and PADS Power Logic, (PCAD 8.5 optional)
Must have 3-7 years of experience.
- Must have a complete and in-depth understanding and wide application of PC board design concepts and drawing principles, including ANSI Y4.15 and IPC Standards, and demonstrate a very high skill level using CAD engineering software.
- Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly, applying them accurately throughout an evolving environment.
- Must be able to organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases.
- Must also be able to determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide creative solutions to a wide range of highly complex problems.
- Must have strong communication, documentation, archiving and interpersonal skills while being able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work extended hours as required.
