Job Title: Director of Creative Strategy and Growth
About the Role
We are seeking a Director of Creative Strategy and Growth with extensive experience in D2C eCommerce or agency environments, particularly in high-growth settings. Ideally, you have worked directly within a D2C company generating $12 million or more in annual revenue or managed a portfolio of brands at an agency level with a combined revenue exceeding $25 million. This high-impact role will guide the creative strategy across our portfolio of brands, with a strong focus on multi-channel performance marketing, data-driven optimization, and top-line revenue growth.
The ideal candidate will combine a deep understanding of analytics with a creative vision that drives performance and resonates with our customers. Initially, you’ll execute pre-defined creative strategies, but over time, we envision this position growing into one with substantial autonomy, allowing you to confidently shape and lead creative direction. This role is perfect for someone highly skilled in competitor analysis, data-informed creative strategy, and team leadership, with a passion for driving performance in a fast-paced D2C environment.
Key Responsibilities
● Creative Strategy Execution and Innovation: Lead the execution of pre-defined creative strategies with the long-term goal of developing an independent, growth-focused strategy that aligns with our business objectives.
● Multi-Channel Performance Marketing: Manage and optimize creative strategies across multiple channels, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google Ads, and emerging platforms, ensuring a unified, high-performance approach to each.
● Competitor Benchmarking and Adaptability: Maintain a pulse on industry trends and competitors, quickly adapting insights into actionable creative strategies to keep our brands at the forefront of the D2C landscape.
● Analytical Performance Tracking: Utilize strong analytical skills to oversee A/B testing, dashboard reporting, and campaign performance metrics, with a focus on key KPIs such as ROAS, CAC, and customer LTV.
● Team Leadership and Development: Direct and mentor a creative team of 12+, including media buyers, designers, developers, and video editors. Foster a collaborative and high- performance environment, setting a high standard for quality and innovation.
● Creative Excellence and Brand Evolution: Bring a strong creative eye to the development and evolution of the brand’s voice across multiple products and channels, ensuring consistency and engagement that aligns with customer expectations.
● Testing and Experimentation Culture: Encourage a testing-driven approach within the team, regularly experimenting with new creative formats, ad styles, and storytelling techniques to maximize engagement and conversion.
Qualifications
● Experience: 5+ years in a high-growth D2C or eCommerce environment, with experience managing multi-channel performance marketing for brands with $15 million+ in annual revenue.
● Analytical and Data-Driven: Strong background in performance analytics and testing methodologies, with hands-on experience in A/B testing, campaign dashboards, and performance metrics (ROAS, CAC, LTV).
● Multi-Channel Expertise: Proven track record of success in creating and optimizing campaigns across key digital channels, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google Ads, and other high-impact platforms.
● Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and grow creative and performance teams of 10-15 members, fostering collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
● Creative Insight: Strong creative vision with experience in copywriting, content creation, and storytelling that directly impacts engagement and drives measurable results.
● Adaptability and Market Awareness: Ability to stay agile in a fast-paced environment, rapidly implementing industry insights and competitor strategies to keep our brands competitive.
