Job Description
The Library Team Lead will supervise a staff of Library Assistants who perform a variety of clerical and administrative tasks to support GMP Library Records Center(s). This is a dual position in that the Team Lead will direct work and workflow to meet the needs of the client while also processing record center documents. This position is ideally suited to someone who possesses strong leadership and team building skills and strong attention to detail. This position is located onsite in downtown Indianapolis, IN
Compensation range: $41,000 - $47,000
The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, licensure, certifications, related experience, and other related factors.
Other compensation: Performance bonus eligible
What you will be doing:
- Supervise a staff of 10 Library Assistants
- Assist Manager with creating and maintaining “Standard Operating Procedures” documentation
- Maintain Client Sponsor relationship, supporting GMP Library objectives and contracted service levels
- File all incoming documents into proper files, generate new file folders when required, populate and keep current a database of all documents/records received into the Library, provide documents via requests on-line and visits to the Library
- As needed, purge those documents which would include removal from the shelves, transferring and organizing into boxes, logging information into the database and preparing the necessary documentation, report generation, route and distribute documents
- Day-to-day management of filing system organization including shifting files, making new folders when folders become overcrowded, ordering supplies, etc.
- Attend meetings and communicate regularly with management regarding changes as they may occur, opportunities to streamline the activities, customer service, etc.
Requirements:
- Some college desires, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree a plus
- 2-3 years records management, data entry or filing experience; Some supervisory experience a plus
- Extraordinary attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong leadership and team building skills, exceptional people skills, capacity to work well under pressure, ability to consistently demonstrate innovation and sound judgment when making decisions, meet deadlines and deliver on customer expectations
- Demonstrated experience with MS Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, experience with office equipment (i.e.; copier, scanner, fax, etc.).
- Flexibility in schedule during audits, ability to be called in on an emergency basis if a document is needed off-shift
