Position Summary
As a Marketing Director, you will lead the marketing team, playing a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to drive lead generation, brand awareness, and revenue growth. Overseeing functional team experts, your responsibilities will include crafting compelling marketing campaigns and leveraging digital and traditional channels to reach target audiences effectively. This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will work closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to the development of product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies. The ideal candidate will bring a creative mindset, strong writing skills, the ability to multi-task and a proven track record of successful marketing campaigns within the technology sector.
Essential Functions
- Lead the development of our marketing plans, working closely with clients, management, and the marketing team to grow the audience for our services
- Alongside the team, create all collateral, case studies, one pager, client testimonials, FAQs, talking points, videos, email and social messaging, etc.
- Oversee lead-generating marketing efforts
- Leverage digital marketing in an innovative way to grow new business as well as engage and retain existing clients; regularly test, evaluate and optimize segments, campaigns and channels
- Experience ideating, marketing and running webinars
- Work closely with the PR agency to strategically identify topics; edit press releases
- Manage company conference and tradeshow efforts, designing booths and preparing all deliverables and submitting to industry contacts for each event on schedule
- Collaborate with Sales Executives on pricing proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral, as requested.
- Be the expert on our market, customers, customer pain points, and our competition to support company and product strategy
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional colleagues including the CEO, and leaders from product management, sales and client services
- Attract, engage and retain a diverse team of functional marketing experts
- Identify, negotiate and oversee third party agencies, freelancers and/or vendors, as needed
- Oversee key performance metrics and tracking tools to identify actionable insights for the marketing team
Core Competencies
- Previous experience overseeing multiple elements of a marketing department, with a career trajectory of increasing responsibility and scope
- Expert in B2B marketing, ideally with fintech, mortgage or lending industry experience
- Proven results-oriented marketer who combines best-in-class strategy with strong execution capability
- Strong writer/editor
- Critical thinking and the ability to synthesize competitive trends, market data and customer insights into a plan of action
- Experience leveraging multiple marketing technologies to activate marketing plans and to develop and operationalize marketing measurements
- Expert in digital marketing strategies with experience generating leads across the entire customer journey
- Owned and achieved KPIs
- Ability and interest in playing a range of roles from strategist to hands-on implementer
- Strong manager, inspiring team members, coordinating project workload and deadlines, and leading them to create A-level work
- Clear understanding of how to create a consistent brand, messaging, content and visual experience across all omni-channel touchpoints
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in art, graphic design, marketing, communications, journalism, and other relevant fields.
- 10+ years of marketing and communications experience
- Experience cultivating a multi-functional marketing team of 3.
- Experience working with management and leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience and/or passion for the mortgage industry highly valued
- Experience with growth marketing/ABM a plus
