MADERA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT CERTIFICATED JOB DESCRIPTION TEACHER: CLASSROOM Overall Responsibilities Provide instruction using principles of human development and appropriate learning strategies to enable students to make academic, vocational, and/or personal growth. Specific Responsibilities 1. Provide instruction in grade/subject assigned. 2. Prepare materials needed to assist students. 3. Implement policies, procedures, and mandates as required. 4. Prepare and submit requested reports and plans in an accurate and timely manner. 5. Participate in professional development. 6. Participate in school, District, and department activities and meetings. 7. Work with other staff including administration, counseling, clerical, and other teachers. 8. Provide instruction and compliance activities in accordance with state and federal law, District policies and procedures, and site needs. 9. Work with parents and community members to provide for the instructional needs of individuals in the assigned class. 10. Foster positive relationships between students, staff, and community members. 11. Supervise students to assure their safety. 12. Monitor student achievement and adjust instructions in response to student data. 13. Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Specific knowledge of: 1. Content of instructional assignment. 2.
