Salary: $2500 Stipend Upon Completion

Internship Summary:

 

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Production Specialist Intern to develop and produce an engaging recruitment and orientation video series for Bear River Health Department. This video series will serve as an essential tool to welcome new employees, communicate company culture, and provide essential information about our organization. This is a great opportunity to gain insight into public health and use your skills to educate others.

 

Responsibilities & Learning Objectives:

  • Collaborate with department leadership to outline video objectives, key messages, and target audience;
  • Write and edit a compelling script that reflects the company’s values, mission, and vision;
  • Plan and organize the logistics of video shoots, including scheduling, location scouting, and coordinating with department employees;
  • Operate video cameras and equipment, ensuring high-quality visuals and sound;
  • Edit raw footage into a polished final product, incorporating graphics, animations, and voiceovers as needed;
  • Present drafts to the Public Information Officer and incorporate feedback to finalize the video series;
  • Ensure the final videos are accessible for distribution through our website and social media platforms.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Associates degree or pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field;
  • 2+ years of experience in video production, preferably in a government or business setting;
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and familiarity with filming equipment;
  • Strong storytelling abilities and a good eye for visual composition;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members;
  • Strong project management abilities and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
  • Reliable under minimal supervision;
  • Be able to provide your own transportation to the Logan office and possess a valid driver license.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with animation or motion graphics;
  • Knowledge of corporate training best practices;
  • Familiarity with content management systems and video hosting platforms;
  • A portfolio or sample work showcasing previous video projects;
  • Currently own or have access to filming equipment, drone and video editing software.

 

Compensation: $2500 upon completion
