About the Company and Opportunity:
Our client is a family-owned company. They are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing invoices, matching, coding, obtaining necessary approvals, managing expenses, and performing reconciliations.
Overview of the Accounts Payable Role:
Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness
Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts
Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts
Obtain necessary approvals for invoice payments
Manage employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Maintain vendor files and ensure all required documentation is current
Preferred Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Role:
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a manufacturing
Proficiency in accounting software (experience with QuickBooks is a plus)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
