Global, well-respected publicly traded manufacturing company is seeking a Director of Accounting. Director of Accounting Primary Responsibilities include:
Oversee all month end deliverables to ensure accuracy and consistency
Work cross-functionally with Division CFO's and operating companies' management, as well as corporate finance and accounting to ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year-end close along with the timely reporting of all monthly financial information for this business segment
Review and analyze quarterly and yearly financial and management reporting for the division
Technical accounting- assist with one off accounting and reporting questions.
Ad-hoc accounting and operational initiatives/projects
Establish and maintain internal controls
Support the Financial Reporting team with preparation of various footnote disclosures to the quarterly financial statements
Add value by identifying opportunities, recommending, and implementing process improvements
Liaison with external auditors and coordinate annual financial statement audit
Ensure financial statements are in accordance with US GAAP
Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and off shoring
Preferred Qualifications for the Director of Accounting:
11+ years of accounting experience.
3+ years of management/supervisory experience
Experience working at a publicly traded company
Experience with finance transformation/working with an outsourced shared service group
CPA preferred.
Big 4 or 2nd tier public accounting experience a plus.
Excellent communication skills; able to quickly establish a personal brand within the organization to drive cross functional collaboration
Salary: $190,000k- $200,000k + bonus + LTI
