Responsibilities of the
BU Controller :
Provide financial analysis and strategic guidance to the plant manager and leadership teams at the facility.
Develop periodic forecasts, including detailed account-level and labor efficiency projections for each location.
Conduct ROI analysis for capital projects and ensure comprehensive documentation is submitted to the expenditure committee.
Collaborate with the plant manager to identify, evaluate, and implement profit-maximizing initiatives.
Establish and maintain standard costs.
Advise on inventory levels and assess related risk exposure at the plant.
Support and participate in physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
Manage period-end activities related to operations, including direct labor and overhead.
Prepare and distribute monthly plant performance and variance reports to business partners.
Act as a key member of the leadership team at the facility.
Qualifications of the
BU Controller :
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 5 years of cost accounting and financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to manage and organize large data sets efficiently.
Experience with ERP or MRP business systems; Oracle experience is preferred.
Strong business acumen with the ability to understand both the broader strategic context and detailed components.
Excellent communication and influence skills to effectively engage stakeholders and senior executives with clarity and empathy.
Epicor experience is preferred, but not required
