OUR STORY
THE CHICAGO CUBS FRANCHISE
is a charter member of Major League Baseball's National League. Since 1876, the team has won the National League pennant 17 times and was the first team to win back-to-back World Series titles in the 1907 and 1908 seasons. In 2016, the Chicago Cubs made history again when the team won its first World Series in 108 years, ending the longest championship drought in North American sports. Known for its ivy-covered outfield walls, hand-operated scoreboard and famous Marquee sign, iconic Wrigley Field has been the home of the Chicago Cubs since 1916, making it the second oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball.
HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE:
The Chicago Cubs are seeking a Youth Marketing and Promotions Associate to help build the next generation of Cubs fans. This includes executing marketing programs that deepen the team's connection with younger fans, including the kids fan club and baseball summer camps. In addition to assisting with youth programs, the associate will help execute youth-related promotions, special ticket offers, theme nights, experiential activations, and cultural moments. This hourly, seasonal position begins in March 2025 and concludes at the end of the 2025 MLB season.
THE DAY-TO-DAY: Assist with planning and fulfillment logistics for Cubs fan clubs and kids initiatives Monitor the cubskids@cubs.com inbox and provide quality customer service to Cubs fans and youth program members in a timely fashion Support the Assistant Director of Fan Development in executing marketing campaigns and data capture strategies for all youth programs Support the Assistant Director of Fan Development in maintaining youth programs content and purchase flows on Cubs.com Collaborate with the Manager of Fan Engagement to curate and produce quality promotional items related to Cubs youth initiatives Assist in executing MLB youth initiatives at Wrigley Field, including Play Ball Weekend Assist in activating collaborations with 3rd party brands when applicable and appropriate; to further expand the reach of Cubs youth initiatives Demonstrate excellent judgement; ensuring all public facing work positively reflects the Cubs brand Track, analyze and report on the effectiveness of Cubs youth programs through registration reporting, market research findings and customer feedback Manage Clark's Crew (fan club) membership orders Assist the team with brainstorming new strategies to further evolve fan development efforts Contribute to the execution of the 2025 fan engagement calendar as needed Attend weekly marketing meetings and other ad-hoc meetings as requested Stay up to date with industry trends and innovations Other duties as assigned by Manager WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
One year of experience working in event planning, marketing, communication or a related field Excellent writing skills; must be able to communicate key messages clearly & creatively Strong project management; executes at a high level in a dynamic, fast paced environment Knowledge of baseball, game rules, the Chicago Cubs and Wrigley Field are desired Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays throughout the baseball season This position is based in Chicago; remote work is not possible for this role
