Job Description:
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations.
Overview of the Senior Accountant Role:
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring all financial data is accurate and timely.
Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with regulations.
Perform regular audits and reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
