Job Summary for Senior Accountant:
Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to support their accounting and finance operations. This role will focus on managing financial reporting and analysis and inventory management to ensure accurate financial data and insights that align with the company's goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing accounting, possess a proactive approach to problem-solving, and demonstrate the ability to collaborate across departments to drive financial integrity and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities for Senior Accountant:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure timely, accurate reporting in compliance with GAAP and client policies.
Inventory Management:
Manage inventory accounting, including physical inventory counts, reconciliations, and reporting. Ensure accurate tracking and costing of inventory in alignment with operational goals.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in developing budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and reporting on key financial metrics.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for process enhancement within the accounting function, working with team members to streamline and automate workflows.
Qualifications for Senior Accountant:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
3+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
