About the Role: The Creative Studios at My Code are responsible for producing inspired, visually appealing content that serves our broader creative strategy. They consciously shape our brands' look, feel, and voice to appeal to their target audience and stand out from competitors. The studio is built to reflect and engage multicultural and diverse audiences. Our newly created Head of Branded Content will oversee and guide our studio team's creative vision. Reporting to our Chief Strategy Officer, the SVP Branded Content is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of culture, content creation, distribution, and audience engagement. The Head of Branded Content will oversee the development and execution of branded content initiatives across various platforms and channels. In a highly collaborative and visible senior leadership position, the Head of Branded Content must be able to represent our My Code creative strategies across the industry and support multiple verticals. A successful candidate will understand how to translate brand strategy and business needs into emotionally compelling content for diverse audiences across various platforms and O&O properties. The SVP will lead world-class creative experiences and champion culture. Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive branded content strategy that aligns with My Code’s brand identity, media brands, and strategic goals. Build compelling brand stories that resonate with target audiences and drive engagement. Provide visionary leadership to the creative team, setting excellence, strategic direction and fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence. Oversee the creative process from ideation to execution, ensuring content is innovative, engaging, and tailored to specific audience segments. Act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leadership, offering valuable insights and recommendations on creative direction and marketing strategies. Present our My Code creative vision externally across the industry as an engaging storyteller who immerses stakeholders in a data-backed vision. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations. Ensure consistency in our brand identity, editorial voice, and visual expressions. Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments and levels of the organization to drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment and ensure cohesive brand experiences. Champion the virtues of Branded Content and diverse audiences and work closely with internal teams to create calendars and internal communication strategies to promote content. Lead branded content development across various platforms, including digital, social, video, audio, and experiential. Manage resource planning, budget, and allocation. Review and interpret creative briefs and guide the creative work product. Track and analyze the performance of branded content initiatives to measure ROI and inform future strategies. Develop a product roadmap that leverages research and audience insights to drive brand connections with diverse audiences. Represent the company in thought leadership opportunities such as panels, speaker series, and publications. Stay abreast of emerging trends in branded content, technology, and audience behavior. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Communicate comfortably with stakeholders internally and externally at all levels. Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advertising and creative strategy best practices. Qualifications: 10+ years of experience as a respected leader in creative (publishing, advertising, marketing, design, etc.) Bachelor's degree in Design, Art, Marketing, Communications, or a related field Proven track record of success as a Creative Director or in a similar role, a plus Experience in media, content, and entertainment space and a clear understanding of the diverse and multicultural media, digital, and social landscape An experienced and talented leader with a proven track record in hiring, building, and managing diverse teams High level of comfort and ability to present to clients, external industry events, and internal team members Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Strong computer skills and proficiency in Google Suite, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word Build and lead high-performing teams. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment Strong portfolio of creative work demonstrating exceptional design skills Knowledge of branding and identity development. Experience working with digital design, user experience (UX), and various creative software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite). Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion both internally and externally. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $220,000-$240,000. The salary and bonus structure are determined on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
