PRINCIPLE OBJECTIVE:
The Design Director of Creative Design will help to drive end to end creative design and execution for a category, including development of 360 campaigns across multiple platforms to support overall brand strategy and product positioning.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Collaborate with Executive Director to develop thoughtful, innovative 360 concepts across print and digital in line with brand strategy and campaign needs.
Demonstrate the ability to concept, art direct, and execute compelling creative storytelling across print and digital platforms (from initial concept through final design execution and art direction). This includes but is not limited to hero ad, hero film, in-store, digital, print, pop-up stores, event concepts, VR opportunities, video, collateral, etc.
Partner closely with Executive Director to understand 360 Marketing campaign needs.
Support concepting and execution of designs, including retouching & production, ensuring excellence and consistency across all work.
Present to and collaborate directly with Executive Director and senior level creatives.
Partner with agencies on concepting and execution of designs.
Partner with Shoot Production team to make sure all assets responsible for are captured during shoots.
Maintain brand strategy, identity, and consistency of the Estee Lauder brand.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Position requires 8+ years professional experience in a creative environment.
College degree in Creative Arts, Art Director, Design or related field.
Drive for innovation and disruption with cosmetic and luxury mindset (a plus).
Global mindset.
Awareness of emerging technologies. Proactively seeks diversification of knowledge, skills and abilities.
Creative integration across all media/sales channels.
Excellent written and verbal communications, strong presentation skills, ability to personally organize and set priorities. Must be able to interface with Marketing, Merchandising, Packaging, and Store Design departments.
Must be aware of current fashion, beauty and lifestyle trends. Previous experience in the beauty industry a +.
Must have substantial knowledge of print production including retouching, pre-press, proofing and be proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Basic After Effects / Animation skills a +.
Must be capable of handling numerous projects in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment.
Must be a responsible self-starter and be able to work with minimum supervision.
U.S Corporate/Office Exempt Roles (Equity Eligible)
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,550 to $208,200. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
