THIS POSITION IS IN TAHLEQUAH OKLAHOMA

PositionSummary:

The Medical Library Manager provides leadership and management of the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine-Cherokee Nation (OSUCOM-CN) Medical Library as the primary provider of biomedical information services forthe OSUCOM-CN campus. This position plans, develops, and evaluates libraryresources, services, and CN campus library staff. This position is responsiblefor maintaining research system profiles and reports for CN students, faculty,and staff. This position proctors library testing center exams.

To fulfill the goals and mission of the Medical Library, this position performsadditional duties as assigned.

Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp,feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or withoutreasonable accommodations.

Position Qualifications:

Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Library Science accredited by American Library Association or related education
- Three (3) or more years librarian experience with one (1) being in a medical library.
- Valid Driver's License

Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge:
-Proficiency in overseeing and directing a branch of an academic medical library.
-Familiarity with best practices in the leadership of medical libraries.
-Competence in delivering reference services and instructional support within a medical library context.
-Skill in creating and recording library database search strategies.
-Capability to formulate and document technical guidelines.
-Ability to operate both autonomously and in collaboration with colleagues across multiple locations.
