Position Overview
We're looking for a Trade Marketing Specialist to help drive the success of our Retail and Wholesale channels through strategic trade initiatives.
This role will support the development and execution of Venchi’s marketing programs that enhance brand visibility, increase store traffic, and drive sales performance.
The Trade Marketing Specialist will work closely with Retail, Sales and Brand Marketing, to align our trade strategy and ensure a cohesive market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing trade marketing strategies tailored to retail and wholesale channels, in accordance with Venchi’s global brand direction and the US market priorities
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to refine and optimize trade plans.
- Coordinate and implement Venchi’s seasonal campaigns following the direction of the global marketing calendar, including promotions, displays, and point-of-sale materials
- Support the assortment selection for the US market, manage Retail Food & Beverage seasonal offers
- Assess pricing performance and strategy by assuring alignment cross channel
- Monitor the effectiveness of trade marketing activities and suggest improvements.
- Partner with retail and wholesale, supply chain, and brand teams to ensure alignment in trade marketing activities.
- Serve as the key contact between marketing and retail/wholesale teams for promotional updates and strategy alignment.
- Develop and distribute sales and merchandising tools that aid in meeting channel-specific goals.
- Support field teams with brand guidelines and product training materials to maintain brand consistency.
- Track KPIs and prepare reports on trade marketing performance, focusing on sales performance and category analysis.
- Conduct post-activity analysis to measure impact and incorporate findings into future planning.
Qualifications
- Degree in Marketing, Business Management or related field
- +3 years of experience in trade Marketing, Sales, or Brand Management in a Retail or FMCG environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and transform it into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CRM and/or marketing automation tools is a plus
- Willingness to travel as needed
