This is a remote role strictly for candidates within the United States.
The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, tracking, and optimizing our digital marketing strategies to drive growth and engagement with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of current marketing tools, analytics, and content strategies and will work closely with the marketing, sales, and engineering teams to promote the company's projects, services, and thought leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Digital Strategy & Campaign Management:
Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies that align with the firms overall business goals.
Plan and manage multi-channel digital campaigns, including search engine marketing (SEM), pay-per-click (PPC), social media, email, and content marketing.
Manage budget allocation for campaigns, optimize ad spending, and track return on investment (ROI) for digital initiatives.
Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, project management, and sales) to ensure campaigns reflect the firms unique value propositions.
2. SEO & Website Optimization: Lead search engine optimization (SEO) efforts, including keyword research, on-page optimization, link-building, and technical SEO to enhance visibility in search engines.
Work with the website team to ensure site performance, mobile optimization, and user experience (UX) align with SEO best practices and conversion goals.
3. Content Creation & Management: Collaborate with content writers and designers to create high-quality content (blogs, whitepapers, case studies, infographics, videos) that resonates with technical audiences, including engineers and decision-makers.
Oversee and execute content strategies for blogs, social media, and websites to engage prospective clients and showcase technical expertise.
Manage editorial calendars to ensure consistent delivery of content across platforms.
4. Social Media & Community Engagement: Manage the firms social media presence across platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, etc.), engaging with audiences, sharing relevant content, and responding to inquiries.
Create and implement social media campaigns to drive engagement, brand awareness, and lead generation.
Monitor social media trends in the engineering and technology sectors to stay ahead of industry developments.
5. Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize Google Analytics, HubSpot, SEMrush, or other tools to monitor digital performance, track user behavior, and optimize campaigns based on data-driven insights.
Regularly produce and present performance reports to senior management, outlining KPIs, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations for improvement.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and audience preferences to refine the companys digital strategies.
6. Lead Generation & Conversion Optimization: Develop targeted lead generation campaigns to capture high-quality leads from the firms target markets (manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, etc.).
Optimize landing pages, call-to-action (CTA) buttons, and forms to improve conversion rates and lead quality.
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure smooth lead handoff, follow-up processes, and sales funnel optimization.
7. Email Marketing & Automation: Develop and manage email marketing campaigns for newsletters, announcements, event promotions, and nurturing workflows.
Build segmented email lists, set up automated email sequences, and ensure high open rates and engagement levels.
Track email performance metrics and continuously test subject lines, CTAs, and design elements to optimize results.
8. Brand Development: Contribute to brand positioning and messaging for both digital and offline channels.
Ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints, adhering to the companys branding guidelines.
Work with the PR team to manage online reputation and expand the firms reach within the engineering community.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. A background in engineering or technical fields is a plus.
3+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably within B2B sectors or technical industries (engineering, construction, manufacturing).
Demonstrated experience in managing digital campaigns across multiple channels (SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing).
Proficiency with marketing tools and platforms, including Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, SEMrush, HubSpot, or equivalent.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
Excellent content development skills, including the ability to write and edit technically-oriented material.
Strong project management skills with attention to detail and deadlines.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills: Experience in the engineering or technical sector.
Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing automation tools (Salesforce, Pardot, HubSpot).
Knowledge of graphic design tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva for basic content creation.
Understanding of web development basics (HTML/CSS) to collaborate effectively with web designers and developers.
Working Conditions: This is a fully remote position. Occasional travel to company meetings, client sites, or industry conferences may be required.
Flexible working hours with the expectation of overlap with core team hours.
Must have reliable internet access and a suitable home office setup.
Job Types: Full-time
Pay: From $28.50 - $35.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday (8 hours daily)
