Stephens Media Group is hiring: On Air and Radio Promotions Director in Yakima

We have an immediate opening for a Market Promotions Director / On-Air position on our heritage Country station KXDD. Applicants should have an electric On-Air presence and a passion to make personal connections with listeners in the Yakima Valley. The perfect candidate will also understand the spinning plates of radio that is the promotions department. Our ideal candidate will focus on the here and now of our broadcast area, keeping listeners entertained and informed on their morning drive, and then be ready to shift gears and handle the creation and execution of imaginative promotions for all 7 of our stations. This position is responsible for on-air hosting of KXDD Yakima and the promotions occurring across all of our stations. This person will work directly with the Operations Manager of the station. Primary Duties of the On-Air Talent: Creation of original and creative content for the shows/times assigned by the Program Director. Write and voice-act on-air bits & performances for a specific show and audience. Repurpose content for the station’s social media channels. Creation and execution of station events, contests, and promotions. Production as assigned. Appearances for live remotes, station events, and community events as assigned. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum of two years on-air experience. Experience working in promotions. Knowledge of social media and website publishing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
