Manager, Marketing Science (Marketing & Communication)

We are seeking a Marketing Analytics Manager for the Marketing & Communication (M&C) team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Reporting, Analysis, and Continuous Improvement workstreams. This will entail partnering with cross-functional team members to surface insights, execute reporting, and facilitate meaningful conversations to drive improvements across our marketing channels. You will "lead from the front" as we work to build a data-driven culture, informing the evolution of our media, web, and product analytics, while leveling-up our teams along the way. • Facilitate regular conversations with functional leaders across our organization, focused on using data to improve execution and performance.
  • Work with the Senior Director, Product team, and IT stakeholders to improve the design and function of our Business Intelligence ecosystem.
  • Help to manage and prioritize work for our part-time contractor, agency, and vendor resources.
  • Work with the Senior Director to improve the taxonomy, process, and technical infrastructure that supports our data work across M&C.
  • Champion a hybrid "Service/Self-Service" analytics model within M&C - educating peers as you collaborate on data projects.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+years' experience working in a data-focused marketing role.
  • A track record of delivering insights and driving performance through data.
  • Experience writing SQL queries for data transformation and analysis. Note: experience with Databricks and/or dbt is a plus.

  • An understanding of data cloud concepts related to storage, computing, transformation and analysis.
  • Familiarity with key digital analytics concepts; including personalization, experimentation, tag management, and web languages (HTML, CSS)

Core Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; with a knack for presentation.
  • A love for synthesizing sophisticated information and conveying complex ideas in an accessible manner.
  • An intrapreneurial mindset, seeking out ways to continuously improve both what is produced and how work gets done.
  • Ability conducting competitive analysis and market research to understand industry trends, customer preferences, and opportunities for growth.

Additional Information:

  • Reports to the Senior Director of Marketing Measurement, Analytics, and Insights
