About the Team & Role:
At TikTok, our Global Business Solutions (advertising) team plays a key role in generating revenue by promoting our advertising solutions, onboarding new clients, driving effective ad campaigns, and more. As the TikTok community grows at an unprecedented speed around the world, our GBS team leads groundbreaking projects that are changing the landscape of the advertising industry in real time. The global Monetization Integrity team ensures TikTok users have a safe experience while viewing advertisements. They work closely with advertisers to create ad policies, manage content review processes, and more. The team is critical in assuring a joyful and creative ads experience for the community. As an Advertising Policy Manager, you will have complex problem-solving skills and a true entrepreneurial spirit. You will help create TikTok's advertising policies across the Americas (NA + LATAM) region within regulated industries, in addition to developing policy processes and training. You will work in conjunction with teams like moderation, quality, and vendor operations to make sure that these ad policies are executed properly. You will have experience owning and evolving ad policies in the Americas region and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. TikTok currently observes a hybrid working policy of 3 days in the office each week and 1 day working remotely. This position is full-time and based out of our NYC office.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze policy documents and related materials
- Conduct comprehensive research to support policy development and implementation
- Collaborate with regional stakeholders to ensure policies are effectively communicated and understood
- Provide expert advice and support on policy matters relevant to the region
- Monitor and report on policy trends and regulatory changes
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and community organizations
- Partner with Sales and Strategy teams to proactively identify emerging business needs to craft forward-thinking policies that drive business growth while ensuring full regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
-5 years of experience in advertising policy
-2 years of experience in advertising policy within regulated industries
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working adjacent to or within an advertising policy ecosystem
- Understanding of the dynamics between users, advertisers, and advertising policies
- Deep understanding of the digital landscape and a passion for the TikTok product
- Extremely clear written and verbal communication
