As a Lead I&E Designer at Burrow Global, you will operate under detailed instructions and review, providing essential technical knowledge and performing tasks to support our services. As an employee, you will gain hands-on experience in the development and execution of I&E designs.

Operating under detailed instructions and review, this position's purpose is to provide the essential technical knowledge and perform the work listed.

  • This role promotes Burrow Global Services' competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence.
  • This position aims to design and perform the layout of a complex scope and may serve as the Design Area Lead.
  • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to complex problems by organization and/or project objectives and guidelines.
  • Prepare 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings of advanced complexity.
  • Develop and review specifications, including design criteria.
  • Review drawings and vendor equipment documentation of advanced complexity within and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements and actively seek discrepancy resolution.
  • Supervise development and checking of complex drawings, including instrument index, instrument location plans, isometrics, and sketches.
  • Develop estimates and schedules, progress reports, and workforce forecasts.
  • Provide guidance/assistance to project managers, designers, and Drafters.
  • Perform bulk material take-off analysis and tabulations.
  • Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures.


Basic Job Requirements

  • A combination of education and directly related experience equal to fifteen (15) years
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of design software (AutoCAD, MicroStation)
  • Practical field experience
  • Intermediate computer and software skills include word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, and electronic presentation programs.
