Content Marketing Manager

Optikos is seeking a talented and strategic Content Marketing Manager to help us create and maximize the use of impactful, high-quality content across channels (web, email, social media, search, etc.) and audiences. The successful candidate is an exceptional writer and content strategist with a knack for breaking down complex topics into compelling, digestible narratives. Working closely with key partners across departments, this individual will play a critical role in helping us drive brand awareness, affinity, and conversion through the strategic use of content. This role will report directly to the Director of Marketing.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Content Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive content marketing strategies that align with Optikos' marketing objectives and target audiences
    • Create and manage a content calendar to ensure timely and relevant content delivery across all platforms (email, social media, website, trade shows/events)
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities for content creation
    • Stay on top of content marketing trends and bring new ideas for us to explore and test
  • Content Creation and Management:
    • Partner with subject matter experts to develop original content in a variety of formats, from blog posts and landing pages to white papers, case studies, videos, and more
    • Manage the updating of Optikos website content, as needed
    • Lead the creation and distribution of a monthly eNewsletter, ensuring it is engaging, informative, and aligns with client interests and Optikos business goals
    • Manage special projects to promote Optikos expertise and offerings, including at external trade shows and events (e.g. webinars)
    • Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, voice, and style
    • Maximize the value and reach of our content by turning high-performing assets into a library of derivative pieces for use in multiple channels
    • Measure and report on content performance; optimize based on results
    • Strong experience with writing in Engineering or Technical subject
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other departments, including Engineering, R&D, Products, and Business Development to ensure cohesive and integrated marketing efforts
    • Foster a collaborative and creative work environment, encouraging team growth and development

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in content marketing, or a related role; experience with B2B or B2C tech preferred
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful content
  • Experience in creating and managing newsletters and other external communications
  • Strong understanding of content marketing best practices, SEO, and social media platforms
  • Exceptional writing, editing and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player with great interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), Microsoft CRM Dynamics, web content management systems (CMS), marketing automation tools (MailChimp), project and social media management software (Loomly), basic HTML, SEO, and Google Analytics
