POSITION SUMMARY
Positioned at the intersection of creative, brand strategy, consumer insights, media and technology, the Director, Creative Effectiveness will be instrumental in driving the mission of the credit union as they are a critical leader within the marketing business unit as well as playing a key role on a broader cross-functional leadership team. This position will develop and lead an evidence-based creative team that builds fame and distinctiveness for the credit union, helping to grow membership while making a positive impact on our communities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops, coaches and leads an agile creative team composed of designers, copywriters and digital-first storytellers.
- Builds and optimizes our internal creative engine to produce content that will fuel the modern media landscape, including both owned and paid assets.
- Leverages cutting-edge creative and media tools, including AI, to serve as a force-multiplier for the team.
- Ingests marketing research and media performance into the creative planning and development process with the overall goal of driving creative effectiveness.
- Partners closely with brand management, PR, marketing operations, and member experience teams to develop high-impact creative assets.
- Develops team members to support the business needs of agile marketing teams, including demand generation, lifecycle marketing, and partnership marketing.
- Engages external agency partners on strategic projects.
- Serves as a steward and champion of brand standards and creative excellence, across all member and employee touchpoints.
- Regularly evaluates and optimizes the Lighthouse brand guide.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
- BS or BA in a creative discipline, marketing, or related field.
- 8-10 years of modern brand building experience preferred; finance, tech, or consumer services experience highly valued.
- Must have experience working in a multidisciplinary creative environment, with exposure to brand strategy, insights and data, and media.
- Proficiency in Adobe creative suite and other modern creative tools.
- Familiarity with the modern advertising tech stack and the role of creative in advanced programmatic media platforms like Google Display and Video 360.
- Understanding of digital storytelling across the consumer journey, enabled by engagement and automation tools like Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
