Temporary Digital Marketing Manager

Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing and Communications, the Tempoary Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for the day-to-day, hands-on execution of the University’s digital marketing program. This position will work closely with other Communication team members to carry out email marketing tasks as well as digital ad placement on social and Google display advertising. They will assist with marketing email sends through Salesforce Marketing Cloud and help create reports through our Google Dashboards. The Temporary Digital Marketing Manager stays up to date on current digital marketing channels and trends, with a keen sense of new and emerging technologies and opportunities. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage digital marketing ad placement on various digital platforms as directed by the Director of Digital Marketing and Communications. This includes working with the content strategy and multimedia teams within University Community as well as campus partners to create, place, and track paid social media ads, Google display ads, as well as YouTube and Spotify ad placement. Manage day-to-day email marketing activities via Salesforce Marketing Cloud including but not limited to email sends; template creation; email campaign setup; and scheduling, A/B testing, and deployment of one-off, recurring, triggered and dynamic content-driven campaigns. Generate regular reports and dashboards to demonstrate effectiveness of campaigns and provide recommendations on improving digital marketing metrics. Work closely with campus partners and use statistical analysis, reports, and best practices to drive strategy in building successful marketing campaigns. Other duties as assigned. This is an on-campus position working up to 37.5hrs per week through November 13, 2024. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or similar discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Two years of experience in digital marketing, CRM, paid social media. Excellent writing skills, and knowledge of HTML for email purposes. Demonstrated experience managing Google AdWords, Google Analytics, paid search (SEM), paid advertising in social media, display advertising and search engine optimization (SEO). Demonstrated experience developing and managing digital marketing campaigns. Demonstrated understanding of digital marketing metrics, with the ability to analyze and interpret data to inform strategic decisions. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to work collaboratively across organizational lines. Demonstrated commitment to work within a diverse environment and interact openly with individuals of different backgrounds. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with Google Looker and G4 Analytics A proven track record of developing a sophisticated, strategic approach to digital marketing plans; advertising campaigns.
